Penguin Capital Launches Co-Investment Fund with Advisory Support from Forvis Mazars
Munich, Germany — A Forvis Mazars team led by Ferdinand von Wrede and Lukas Redler provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to Penguin Capital on the design and fundraising of its first co-investment fund.
With the launch of Penguin Capital Co-Invest I, the Munich-based private equity fund manager expands its market access in the smaller mid-cap segment, with a regional focus on the U.S., the EU, and the U.K. The co-investment vehicle complements the firm’s successful fund-of-funds generations, Penguin Capital Vintage 22 and the oversubscribed Vintage 24.
Building on a trusted collaboration, Penguin Capital again relied on the interdisciplinary expertise of Forvis Mazars for the fund’s structuring, following their prior involvement in both fund-of-funds generations.
“With Penguin Capital Co-Invest I, we are consistently continuing our focus on the lower mid-market and creating the opportunity for our investors to participate directly in selected investments of our partner funds. Forvis Mazars was once again a reliable partner, supporting us with its in-depth understanding of the regulatory and tax requirements in the private equity sector.”
